This website is not updated because a new website is under construction. Actually, I still compose and arrange a lot! For the last news, please check my Facebook page.

I started composing the cycle commissioned by Jean-Philippe Tremblay for Pascale Beaudin and the Orchestre de la Francophonie. For the time being, the cycle bears the codename Urbania. Before starting to write a Chevauchée cycliste (Cycling “horseride”), I had been inspired to write an “instrumental” prelude with the exquisite voice of Pascale. Instead of making simple “ah”s, why not have fun with the vowels' colors... Here are some drafts with the beginning's simulation.
Don't worry: Pascale sings better than Sibelius software voice simulation! I may also change a little the textures and harmonies. The orchestra give a lot more possibilities for textures. I think I will go from the orchestra version to make a piano reduction. However, starting with a piano part lets you choose the harmony before starting a 30-staff score. It is handy to keep having a look on where you are going.
