While designing the tape, I had two goals in mind:

  • – keep the voices natural;
  • – keep the message understandable (or not at some times).

Sound transformations had to be minimal and to use natural situation perceptions: place, distance, movement.

I wanted different situations, though. Here are some.

Intertwined voices afar.
Conversation with final choir effect.
A more aggressive conversation, that later goes afar.

For the distance effects, I used intensity of course, but also the high-pass filtre, because voices afar lose more bass frequencies than high ones. I also used panning.
